GALLOWAY Robert

Robert was born 1893 in Perth, Scotland and emigrated to Western Australia.

He enlisted in WWI in April 1916.
He had a brother William who also enlisted and had given Gnowangerup as Robert's place of residence in his enlistment papers.
At enlistment Robert was aged 22, a single farm labourer, parents were Robert and Christina Galloway of 4 Inchaffey Street, Perth, Scotland and he was one of at least 4 sons and two daughters (1901 British Census).
Robert gave his Father Robert Galloway as his next of kin. He embarked on the Miltiades on 9th August 1916. Robert returned to Western Australia on 3rd September 1919.
 

Robert Galloway married Joyce Muriel Galloway née Moir.)
They had two children: Neville and Barbara.

Robert is buried in the Gnowangerup Cemetery Baptist Section.
Joyce passed away on 17 July 1964 and is also buried at the Gnowangerup Cemetery.
Robert re married in 1970 and passed away in 1995 at Northam.
